A passion that motivates our boat builders not only to come to work each day, but to take pride in hand craftsmanship, a trait not necessarily taught, but instilled in the people. In their eyes, the same people who mold our hulls and gelcoat boats are just as essential as the leaders themselves.
As individuals, these leaders have exceptional traits that include the obvious skills like hard work ethic and integrity. But what makes this group exceptional is the driving force behind what we do every day. To be an industry leader, it takes more than just being good at building boats. To be a front-runner in this industry, it takes innovation, constant research and the power to execute a quality product. This team does just that – continuously revolutionizing the boating world, investing in the “what else can we do”, and enlisting in a team of experts, not only in the behind the computers, but walking the floors of our facility, too.
As a result, Cobalt Boats has manifested new innovations that have lured the industry into a different way of thinking. Marker One, one of the company’s innovations, is a platform style boat – an entirely new market. Boat builders and experts took note as the platform boat debuted, and now has the industry thinking creatively about what we typically call “pontoon” boats. Marker One Platform Series embarks on an original idea and has since evolved as the new benchmark for luxury boating. It took this group of leaders to make it all come together – the diligence, research, the re-do’s and un-do’s. Marker One is a success not only because the product is unique, but also because of the people behind it.
And it should not go unmentioned that there are several other product innovations steaming behind this group. This year alone, Cobalt and Marker One will launch eight models. Not just one or two boats that stem from the same lineup, but innovative designs, unheard of for most boat manufacturers.
The worldwide dealer network and team at Cobalt Boats and Marker One have undoubtedly been a catalyst, driving the entire industry to think boldly, get creative and re-energize the market. Cobalt Boats became a leader in the industry not solely because the boats are great, but also because of the team and associates behind the product. We can't say enough good things about our Cobalt flagship - the A40. A culmination of the finest craftsmanship married with the most luxurious amenities, the Cobalt A40 has received its fair share of gloats. However, our friends at Boat Dealers in Canada recently took the A40 on a ride, and it proved to be even more jaw-dropping than we described. Read more here.

Cobalt Boats and Lake Viking Marine will sponsor a new 2016 Cobalt as a hole-in-one prize for amateurs and professionals to compete to win during tournament week. The contest will begin Wednesday for amateurs with the official Web.com Tour Pro-Am and continue with the professionals Thursday-Sunday.

Cobalt Boats has 650 associates building approximately 2,000 boats annually ranging from 20-40 feet, right here in Kansas. "The Kansas City Crusaders and the Digital Ally Open are proud to partner with Cobalt Boats, a Kansas company that shares the vision of giving back to the community and to First Responders. Our pro-am participants and Web.com Tour professionals are also beyond thrilled at the opportunity to win a brand new boat!" Cobalt Boats is proud to welcome Terry Clark of Independence, Kansas as company President. Terry was formerly with Textron Aviation, recently formed by the merger of Cessna and Beech Aircraft. Terry has 25 years of experience in leadership in top-performing manufacturing, sales and service operations in the aviation industry and 10 years of experience in the machining, metal forming and tooling industry. Terry’s experience with performance management systems, productivity maximization, and systems and logistics excellence will further enhance Cobalt’s leadership team.
During his tenure in the aviation industry, Clark held positions of increasing responsibility to include General Manager of Beech’s Salina facility, General Manager of Cessna’s Columbus, Georgia facility, General Manager of Cessna’s Independence, Kansas, facility and President of CitationAir based out of Greenwich, Connecticut.
Mr. Clark is an active commercial/instrument pilot and resides in Independence with his wife Patti. Their children include daughter Jennifer, of Woodland Park, Colorado, son Ryan, from Tulsa, Oklahoma and their son Ben who works in Independence, Kansas. Terry is also the grandfather of three granddaughters and one grandson. Clark enjoys flying and refurbishing his 1953 Cessna 180 and 1945 J3 Cub from his grass runway near Independence.

Adding to this array of jaw-dropping features are our new ultra-plush and stylishly chic pillows. Carefully sewn and hand stitched by our team of upholstery gurus, these accent pillows add not only a homey and cozy feel, but also create a comfortable sitting arrangement for those looking for a curl-up-and-read type of evening ride.
The pillow colors are as follows: Midnight Blue – a solid, deep navy; Walnut – a dark brown with subtle pinstripes; Graphite – black and grey alternating stripes with white metallic fine lines, Crimson Red – a vibrant cherry with gold vertical accent striping, and Cocoa – a taupe monochromatic striping.The pillows are covered in Sunbrella fabric and filled with four pounds of Vyram weighted pellets.
The Captain’s helm also features a new dash color. This optional Grey dash trim package complements our existing Tahoe Grey interior. As a 2015 upgrade option, this new color choice adds a splash of color and texture to the already modern physique on the dash panel. The stainless steel accents and leather wrapped steering wheel really pop against this new color option.
